James from Reigner
Tailor-made hedonism.
Located toward the Reid Street end of the Village, in a reimagined Victorian shopfront, sits Reigner. You would’ve noticed the fascinating and intricately embroidered nudie suits defiantly standing out in the window – they’re impossible to miss.
Owner and creative lead James has described Reigner as a “uniform for hedonists, gender-neutral outfits for the pursuit of pleasure. A stepping stone for people to experience something in the deeper end of their ocean. We want people to feel comfortable, outside their own comfort zone.”
Featured at Melbourne Fashion Week and adorned by music stars including Tim Rogers and Orville Peck, Reigner has many fans - including TV Host Tony Armstrong who has sharply donned a number of custom Reigner suits.
James has a fascinatingly varied and well-travelled background - well worth chatting to him about… Yet it was in Bali where he spent time learning tailoring, pattern making and textiles from the ground up.
On setting up in Melbourne, James found a home in Nicholson Village for Reigner. The shop setting is intimate and perfect for a fitting or consultation, so arrange an appointment or explore online for some visionary suiting.
