Alizee & Yohann from Amann Patisserie
A small window into delicious French pastry-making.
A tiny doorway serving up some of the most delicious French pastries is easy to miss along the Nicholson Village strip. Easier to spot though, are the queues of people peering into the large kitchen window, eager to get their hands on one of the limited batch of pastries baked that day at Amann Patisserie.
This small bustling patisserie is owned and operated by Alizee and Yohann, who first set up their business online and then quickly moved to a physical space in Nicholson Village only months later - and we’re thrilled they did!
An exploration of tradition, highlighting quality ingredients and recipes they know and love to their local community is at the heart of everything they create - adding their own signature take on classics and incorporating local ingredients wherever possible. For this tight-knit team, the Amann Patisserie door is a space to share their passion and dedication to perfecting the finest small-batch baked goods. Yohann trained in his native Brittany as a pastry chef and has spent the past decade perfecting his craft across Australia and France, and you can taste it in every delicious bite. The use of quality butter is a keen focus and is embedded in the patisserie’s name - ‘Amann’ meaning butter in local Brittany dialect.
In order to not miss out, we’d recommend visiting the Amann window early. Offerings in the window change weekly, but you always know you’re in for a delectable treat.

On the best thing about being located in Nicholson Village…
“We love the community here! All of our business neighbours have been so welcoming and supportive, and we love eating, shopping, and grabbing supplies from all the local businesses. The Nicholson Village community has been so supportive as well, dropping in to say hello, grabbing their morning coffee, or just waving through the window when they pass by.
