Bec and the team have tailored desensitisation programs and specialise in soothing anxious and nervous dogs that may not typically enjoy a day at the spa. New clients to the salon can book a complimentary day-care session to build trust and strengthen bonds before their first groom. Every detail has been considered within the carefully custom-designed space, tailor-made in collaboration with animal behaviourist Nicola Grunton. Sustainability is another important part of the Spitz Groom ethos. They participate in the ‘Sustainable Salons’ program and also support an initiative to recycle discarded pet hair into yarn - some of which can be purchased at the salon.
